LAUNCH ANIMATED RENDERING OF OUR NEW DINING ROOM

Hope never stops growing at St. Anthony’s.

St. Anthony’s is building a new Dining Room at 121 Golden Gate Avenue. It will seat and serve 43% more people in need. For the first time in more than 60 years, our guests will have a street-level view and natural light in the Dining Room.

Our Free Clothing Program and Social Work Center will move to the second floor of the new building where they will be more accessible to our Dining Room guests for clothing and counseling services.

Finally, the new building will be an indispensable part of our disaster preparedness plan. In the event of a disaster, St. Anthony’s will be equipped to distribute food and water for the community at large, treat or refer people with emergency medical needs, and establish a communications and assistance center.

On the floors above, Mercy Housing will build 90 units of affordable housing for seniors.

Be part of the miracle.

You are an important partner in realizing St. Anthony’s mission. You can be part of this once-in-a-century enterprise. Your generosity will lay the foundation for a stronger and even more responsive St. Anthony’s.

The new Dining Room, all the furniture and equipment, the covered line outside and the lighting and air systems inside, will cost nearly $22.5 million. Next to other projects of its size, this building is surprisingly economical. This goal is attainable.

We invite you to join us in this landmark project.

“All you need to do is visit St. Anthony’s around noon someday, and you have an idea of the enormous, the phenomenal, contribution to the community and the tremendous need… It’s impressive. It’s inspiring.” – Warren Hellman

THE NUMBERS
ST. ANTHONY’S NOURISHES
SAN FRANCISCO

15,000 people, including women and children, live on the street and in shelters, and thousands more use free food programs to stretch budgets that don’t quite cover food, clothing, medical expenses, and San Francisco rents.

12,000 families and individuals live in rooms without kitchens in San Francisco.
3,000 meals served daily at St. Anthony’s Dining Room. Every year, more people turn to St. Anthony’s for help.
100 years ago, the original St. Anthony’s Dining Room was built to be used as an auto repair shop. While the need increases, the building and equipment get older. Old equipment and an obsolete building design restrict and slow down service.
40% of all the free meals served in San Francisco are served by St. Anthony’s.
1 dining room in San Francisco serves free meals every day of the year--the Dining Room at St. Anthony’s.
